Franz W. Martin, 75, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015. The Newberry, Fla. native lived in Live Oak, Fla. for over 40 years.

He worked as an airplane mechanic for Aero (now known as TIMCO Aviation Services) in Lake City, Fla. Mr. Martin was a proud veteran serving in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Live Oak.

Franz is survived by his wife: Joyce Martin, Live Oak, Fla.; daughter: Alicia McCullers; step-daughter: Denise McLeod, Live Oak, Fla.; step-sons: Anthony Robinson and Keith Robinson, both of Live Oak, Fla.; sisters: Mariam Birt, Myrtle McKenzie, and Madaline Faircloth; brother: Milton Martin; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Brett officiating. Visitation was from 10 – 11 a.m. before the service at the church. Interment followed at Live Oak Cemetery.

Warren Jay Liles

Warren Jay Liles, 88, of O’Brien, Fla., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015. The Kenton, Ohio native moved to O’Brien in 1980 from Belle Center, Ohio. Mr. Liles proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Jay was preceded in death by his loving wife: Virginia Liles; his daughter: Marilyn McDonald; and his brother:  Wilbur Liles.

Mr. Liles is survived by his daughters: Charlotte & Ed Fout, Belle Center, Ohio; Deborah Burd, O’Brien, Fla.; son: David & Sharon Liles, Belle Center, Ohio; son-in-law: Danny McDonald, Belle Center, Ohio; brother:  Merle & Ann Schrader, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Humphries officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
