VALDOSTA— Dr. Bolan P.  and Mrs. Pamela Holland Woodward of Valdosta announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelly Marie Woodward, of Valdosta, to Patrick Hanley Golden, of Albany, Ga., son of Mr. Michael James and Mrs. Laura Goodyear Golden, of Albany, Ga. 

A wedding will be held April 30, 2016 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church. The reception  to be held  at Valdosta Country Club. 

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Bill Holland and the late Mrs. Mary Jean Holland of Valdosta; Mrs. Mary Frances Woodward and the late Mr. John Capers Woodward of Valdosta. 

The future bride is a Valdosta High School 2008 graduate;  She  attended University of Georgia and continued  her degree at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She received a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy degree in 2014. She is employed as  a Occupational Therapist at South Georgia Medical Center. 

The  groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Janet Couperthwait Goodyear and the late Mr. Henry Marks Goodyear Jr. of Albany; the late Mrs.  Mary Jane Fitzgerald Golden of  Harwich, Mass. 

The future groom  is a 2008 graduate from Deerfield Windsor in Albany; 2013 graduate from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Communication Arts degree;  a 2015 graduate from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton  with a Bachelor of Diversified Agriculture degree.  The groom is employed by Tri-County Agriculture of Smithville, Ga.
