Rhea L. Norman

Rhea L. Norman, 67, of Hahira, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Brownsville, Tenn., on June 21, 1948, to the late Joseph Wesley Norman and Lily Faye Tallant Norman. Mr. Rhea Norman was retired from the U.S. Air Force and from civil service. He was a member of Hahira First Baptist Church, loved his family, grandchildren and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Mr. Norman is survived by his wife, Debra Norman of Hahira; three daughters and sons-in- law, Heather and Stephen Morin of Lake Park, Melony and Jay Jordan and Katie and Wesley Joiner of Hahira; eight grandchildren, Trevor Terry, Macie Morin, Jackson Morin, Preston Meadows, Gabe Norman, Kylie Norman, Blake Joiner and Bailey Joiner; seven sisters, Jane Broadway, Linda Holloway, Wanda Garner, Ann Norman, Rebel Johnson, Sharon Norman and Carol Vickers; two brothers-in-law, Jon Giffin and Joel Giffin; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Norman; sister-in-law, Margaret Ellen Millsaps; and brother-in-law, Jerry Allen Giffin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with the Rev. Jim Schappaugh, the Rev. David Gordon and Mr. Cleo Hughes officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
