Patricia Stubbs Simpson

After a long battle of cancer, Patricia Stubbs Simpson, 72, of Hahira, passed away quietly at her home, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016. She was the wife of James Simpson for 56 years.
They raised five children, Cindy (Jason) Webb of MayDay, Ga., Randy (Michelle) Simpson of Kathleen, Ga., Linda Faye Ellenberg (John Dee Moore) of Hahira, Ga., Jennie (Jim) Norris of Tallahassee, Fla. and Laura (Terry) Watford of Valdosta; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry (Carolyn) Stubbs and one sister, Brenda (Paul) Reaves, all of Hahira, Ga.; sister-in-law, June Stubbs Carter of Adel; brother-in-law, Mack (Kay) Simpson of Barney; sisters- in-law, Sylvia Croft of Tifton, and Linda (Hugh) Black of Valdosta; many nieces and nephews; and her special best friend, Betty Passmore of McDonough, Ga. Mrs. Simpson is preceded in death by her parents, T.A. (Buck) Stubbs and Frances Becton Stubbs, two brothers, Frank Stubbs and Ashley Stubbs, her baby sister, Harlene Stubbs, parents-in-law, Hoyt and Dorothy Hall Simpson, brothers-in-law, Raymond Simpson, Marcene Croft and Tommy Todd, nephews, Mark Croft and Little Mack Simpson III.
A special thanks to Bethany Hospice especially Carmen Peele, Shirley Locklear, Kay Linahan, Michael Bass, Hugh Stevens and all Bethany staff.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Mr. Curt Norman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
