Brenda Gail Herndon

Brenda Gail Herndon, age 52, of Live Oak, passed away Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 in Aiken, South Carolina. She was born in Macon, Ga. moving to Live Oak five years ago from West Virginia. She was a homemaker and loved crafts and gardening. Brenda dedicated her life to being a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Above all else, what she valued most was the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, William R. Herndon Jr., Live Oak; one daughter, Annabelle Herndon, Live Oak; one son, William Randall Herndon III, Live Oak; two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with William and Annabelle Herndon officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosemary Baptist Church cemetery.

Jack Henry Sandlin

Dec. 22, 1944 – Jan. 16, 2016

Jack Henry Sandlin, age 71 of Austin, Indiana passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, in Nortons Hospital Louisville, Kentucky.

Born Dec. 22, 1944, in Miami, Florida, he was the son of the late Jack Sandlin and Mamie (Gill) Sandlin.

Survivors include: wife, Ercheline Sandlin, Austin, Indiana Daughter: Deelila Sandlin, Austin, Indiana and Amie Sandlin, Austin, Indiana Stepson: Lonnie Tompkins, Austin, Indiana. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lauren Sandlin, Allen James Sandlin, Bryson Sandlin, Aeden Daenke, Emmie Sandlin, and Angeliguca Tompkins.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Soto officiating with cremation to follow.

Visitation was at 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and will be after 9 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
