Beverly Lynn Adams Gibbs

Mrs. Beverly Lynn Adams Gibbs, 56 of Adel, Georgia passed away Jan. 24, 2016, at her residence. She was born Sept. 28, 1959, in Indiana, Pennsylvania to her late father Richard C. McNaughton and her surviving mother, Lonita “Boots” Alderman Hutchinson. Mrs. Gibbs lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of the Massee Baptist Church. Mrs. Gibbs was retired from First Franklin Financial where she was branch manager of Adel after 37 years of service. She received the 2015 Adel-Cook County Women of the Year Award and was a member of the Pilot Club of Adel.

She is survived by her husband, Michael W. Gibbs of Adel; one daughter, Shellie Adams of Hahira, Georgia; her mother, Lonita “Boots” Alderman Hutchinson of Adel; one stepdaughter, Amy Gibbs, and one stepson and his wife, Travas and Alicia Gibbs, all of Naylor, Ga.; six grandchildren, Kylee and Kailyn Hughes of Hahira, Olivia Gibbs, Ty Kenny, Jackson and Eli Gibbs all of Naylor; her stepmother, Kay McNaughton of West Chester, Pa.; a half brother, R.J. McNaughton (Jennifer) of Colorado; her father-in-law, Wayne Gibbs; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald W. and Monica Gibbs, all of Adel; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Maxine Sanders of Adel. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gerald Hutchinson and her mother-in-law, Virginia V. Gibbs.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday; Jan. 26, 2015, at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Hendley and the Rev. Justin Milliken officiating. Interment will follow at the Antioch Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday. January 25, 2015 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
