Dorothy Smith Huguley Conway

Dorothy Smith Huguley Conway, 85, of Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, after a lengthy illness.

She was born February 22, 1930 in Blakely, a daughter of Dr. Henry Grady Smith, Sr. and Vurie Whitefield Smith.  She worked as a bookkeeper at Wingate Hotel and Jolly Inn in Valdosta.  Mrs. Conway was a member of Hahira United Methodist Church and had graduated from Homerville High School.

She is survived by two sons, Doug Conway of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL, and Trever Conway and his companion Miss Ashley Prichard of Valdosta; one granddaughter, Madison Conway of Howey-In-The-Hills, FL; one niece, Kathy Norwood (Joey) of Pinetta, FL; three nephews, Rusty Jones (Laura), Mike Smith (Tina), and Greg Smith, all of Valdosta; one special angel that loved her so, Jessica Norwood of Pinetta, FL; her best friend, Betty Greer of Valdosta; and her special caregivers, Mrs. Louise, Mrs. Clara, and Ms. Shereka.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Vurie Huguley; father, Dr. Henry Grady Smith, Sr.; step-father, Jack Huguley; husband, USAF MSgt (Ret) M.L. Conway; son, Bryce Conway; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and David Jones; brother, Grady Smith; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Smith; and nephew, Henry Grady Smith III.

The Celebration of Mrs. Conways Life will be held graveside at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Sunset Hill Cemetery, with Rev.
