David Lee Butler, 61, of Valdosta died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, of injuries received in a vehicular accident. Born on July 14, 1954, in Three Rivers, Michigan to Sarah Thompson and the late Marion Butler, he was a United States Army veteran and had received the Army Commendation Medal. Mr. Butler was retired from Boeing and was employed by Flash Foods.
Surviving Mr. Butler is a daughter and son-in-law, Denise Norris (Chris) of Tallahassee, Fla.; mother, Sarah Thompson of Valdosta; two grandchildren, Rainier Norris and Mariner Norris both of Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Bill Butler of Corona, Calif.; Hugh Timmons (Wusoon) Renton, Wash.; and Harry Timmons of Valdosta:
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating.
