Mary Frances Williams
July 16, 1936 – Jan. 31, 2016
Mrs. Mary Frances Williams, 79, of Mayo, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 31, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Williams was born July 16, 1936, in Dowling Park, Florida to Mr. Joseph Leonard Walker Sr. and Mrs. Clora Mae Hewitt Walker. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Mayo First Assembly of God. In her spare time she enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, and being with her family. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Clora Walker Sr., and three sisters, Gladys Dees, Edna Beard, and Irene McIntosh.
She is survived by; her husband of 59 years, G.W. “Dub” Williams; 2 daughters, Carolyn Diane Williams, and Cloria Jean Williams, all of Mayo; 2 brothers, Joseph Walker Jr, and Edward Walker; a sister, Betty McCray; as well as numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Mayo with Rev. Kenny Sullivan and Bro. Lamar McCray officiating. Interment followed in Wayfare Cemetery. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.

Norma Davis Tilford
June 20, 1923 – Jan. 28, 2016
Norma Davis Tilford, 93, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016. Mrs. Tilford was born June 20, 1923, in Wilmington, N.C. to the late Clifford H. and Nancy Lott Davis.
Mrs. Tilford was raised in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she met and married her husband, Earl H. Tilford, in 1942 while he was serving in the U.S. Merchant Marine. After her husband became a Presbyterian minister, she served with him in churches in AL, FL, and the Cayman Islands. She became known in Florida as a talented artist. She leaves behind family and friends who will miss her deeply.
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl H. Tilford Sr, her brother Adrian C. Davis and her granddaughter Victoria Tilford.
Mrs. Tilford is survived by her son Earl H. Tilford Jr. and his wife Grace; grandchildren Michael A. Tilford (Amy) of Northport, Ala., Ellen E. Cantymagli (Nick) of Lancaster, Pa.; and her great grandchildren Madelyn and Lillian Tilford, of Northport, Ala. and Gia Cantymagli of Lancaster, Pa.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Mayo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Mayo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
