Desso F. Faulkner

Desso F. Faulkner, 90, of Nashville Ga. passed away Saturday 02/13/2016 at Berrien County Hospital after a brief illness. He was born November 19th 1925 to the late Clarence Hiram & Estie (Hughes) Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner retired from the United States Air Force after over 20 years of service. He faithfully served during World War II and the Korean War. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5978 where he served 2 terms each as Post Commander and District Commander. Desso was also a past State Commander of the Department of Georgia VFW. He was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church and the American Legion. Following retirement he moved home to work the family farm and later became a Surveyor for the Department of Agriculture. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Daisy Gladys Faulkner and 3 brothers: Bill, Junior & Vernon Faulkner.
Survivors Include: Two Daughter & Son in Laws: Linda & John A. Douglas of Nashville, Ga., Cindy & Michael Stewart of Nashville, Ga. and One Son & Daughter in Law: Desso “Marty” & DeeDee (Richmond) Faulkner of Nashville, Ga.; Eight Grandchildren: D.J. Douglas, Jeremy Douglas (Lisa), Brent Douglas, Dylan Stewart (Brittany), Dalton Stewart, Desso Earl Faulkner (Anna), Jesi Faulkner, Christian Faulkner; Thirteen Great Grandchildren; Brother & Sister in Law: Wayne & Carolyn Faulkner of Lakeland, Ga. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Berrien County where full military honors will be rendered. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
