Author Dean Poling reads excerpts from his books as part of the Valdosta State University Department of English Contemporary Writer Series. Poling is the managing editor of The Valdosta Daily Times and an award-winning journalist. He has written three books. The books ‘Cowboy Boots and Pony Tales’ and ‘Redneck Night at the Chinese Restaurant’ are collections of columns from The Valdosta Daily Times. ‘Waiting for Willie’ is a novel set in South Georgia.
