Rufus Lee McGee, 74, passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2016 at Shands of Gainesville, Fla. He was a native of Oakfield, Ga. and resided in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. before moving to Live Oak in 1981.
Mr. McGee worked in construction while in Ft. Lauderdale and after locating to Live Oak, employed with the City of Live Oak for 23 years. He made many friends in the community.
Mr. McGee leaves fond memories in the heart of his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Margaret McGee of Live Oak, children: DeWayne Ansley (Marketia) of Charlotte, Nc., Antionette Magee, Leonard McGee, Anthony Ansley, Rufus McGee, Jr., all of Live Oak, Fla., Crystal McGee of Ft. Lauderdale, and Keith McGee (Cantrell) of Clearwater, Fla, five sisters: Queen Ester McGee Clark, Gloria Dean McGee Love (Alton), Exie Lee McGee Allen (Raymond), Mary Lee McGee Thomas and Corene McGee Scott (William Randolph), all of Ft. Lauderdale, Mother-in-law/father-in-law: Leon and Lillie Mae Ansley of Live Oak, Fla., five brother-in-laws: Minister Leon Ansley, Jr., Minister Edward Ansley, Minister Bob Ansley, Jerome Ansley, all of Live Oak, and Wilbur Ansley of Gainesville, Fla., Four sister-in-laws: Minister Barbara Smart (Bishop Henry Smart), Lillie Mae Thomas (Minister Jerry Thomas), Loretta Ansley, all of Live Oak, Minister Tina Roberts (Minister Roger Roberts) of Lake Park, Ga., eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and sorrowing friends.
The family will receive friends at The Pure Church of Righteousness on Friday, Mar. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
Memorial services will be conducted at Triumph the Church of the Kingdom of God on Saturday, Mar. 26 at 2 p.m. Bishop Henry Smart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Eastside Memorial Cemetery.
Repass will follow at the Women’s Club.

Sybil Clementine Ragan Brim

Sybil Clementine Ragan Brim, 91, passed away on Mar. 16, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on Jan. 6, 1925 to Cada Keaton Ragan and Nancy Idell (Della) Mims Ragan. Sybil lived most of her life in Live Oak, Fla. She was a member of Venetia Terrace Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Fla.
Sybil leaves behind a legacy of love of God and family. She was always willing to give of herself to help anyone in need. She was a talented seamstress and made numerous clothes and gifts for family and friends throughout her life.
She is survived by her four children, Gerald E. Brim (Ann) of Charlotte, NC, Sandra Burnsed (Calvin) of Jacksonville, Fla., James K. Brim of Jacksonville, Fla., and John W. Brim (Nancy) of Enterprise, AL., nine grandchildren, Sharon Chappelle, Grant Brim, Emily Bailey, Sarah Monroe, Raina Shey, Andrew Brim, David Brim, Christopher Brim, and John (Johnny) Brim, Jr., thirteen great-grandchildren, Chloe, Camden, Anna and Isaac Chappelle, Nathan Brim, Bethany, Lauren and Joshua Bailey, Cada Garcia, Chase Fulir, Spencer and Sterling Shey, and Charlotte Brim, and one sister, Hetty Craw of Augusta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis Phillip (Phil) Brim, her parents, five brothers and sisters, Evelyn Bishop, Vera Wilkinson, Clayton Ragan, Rudolph Ragan, and William (Billy) Ragan, and one grandchild, Elizabeth Ann Brim.
The family will have visitation at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak, Fla. on Saturday, Mar. 19, at 10 a.m., with the funeral following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Clayland Baptist Church Cemetery in Live Oak, FL.

Bill Sanders, 69, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2016. The Jacksonville, Fla. native was a Vietnam Era Veteran while serving in the Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Live Oak, Wellborn Fire Department and was of Baptist Faith. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of thirty years: Marty Sanders, Live Oak, Fla.; three daughters: Missie (George) Wilkerson, McClenney, Fla., Teresa (John) Harris, McClenny, Fla., Amanda (Lisa) Patanow, St. Pete, Fla.; sons: William H. “Buddy” (Renee) Sanders, Lake Charles, LA, Otis T. (Amanda) Sanders, Live Oak, Fla. Tim Edenfield, Live Oak, Fla.; sisters: Betty Jean (Butch) Conrad, Keystone Heights, Fla., Karen (Robert) Stephens, Glenn St. Mary, Fla.; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 23 at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Mr. Worth Fulghum officiating. Judy Faye Stephens
Sept. 28, 1943 – Mar. 17, 2016
Judy Faye Stephens, age 72, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016 at Haven Hospice in Lake City. She was a native of Fayetteville, NC moving to Live Oak in 1970 from Dayton, OH. She worked for Gold Kist Poultry Plant for many years and was a member and deaconess of the First Advent Christian Church of Live Oak.
She is predeceased by her husband, Steve Stephens and a son, Bill Carpenter. She is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Federici, Olympia, WA and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Funeral services will be held, 10:30 a.m., Monday, Mar. 21 at the First Advent Christian Church of Live Oak with Rev. Tim Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the Manntown Cemetery in Glen St. Mary.

Kevin McCullers, 51 of Live Oak, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Mar. 19, 2016 at his mother’s home in Live Oak. The Live Oak native worked for several fast food restaurants, McDonald’s and Hardee’s in Live Oak as their maintenance employee. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Frances Harrington of Live Oak; his father, Al McCullers of Jacksonville; his sister, Donna Lisa Harrington Samaan of Tallahassee and two brothers, Mark McCullers and Alan McCullers, both of Live Oak.
Funeral services for Kevin will be conducted Tuesday, Mar. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Graveside in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Live Oak with Rev. Jimmy McCullers officiating.
