NORFOLK, Va. — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas Edwards, junior, of Norfolk, Va. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen Elizabeth Edwards, to William Gus Elliott, II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gus Elliott, II, of Valdosta.

 The future bride is a 2006 graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, Va. She is a 2010 graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is employed by South Georgia Medical Center. 

The future groom is the grandson of The Honorable and Mrs. William Gus Elliott of Valdosta, and Mrs. John Elden Hartshorn and the late Mr. Hartshorn of Savannah, Ga.

The future groom is a 2006 graduate of Valwood School. He is a 2010 graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, cum laude, and a 2013 graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law. He is an associate at Elliott, Blackburn & Gooding, P.C.

The wedding will be held in May in Norfolk, Va.
