ALBANY, Ga. —Gregory and Barbara Hughes, of Albany, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hughes of Albany, Ga., to Joshua Scott Macey, son of Scott and Kelly Macey of Albany, Ga. 

The wedding is scheduled at 6 p.m. May 21, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Leesburg, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Phillip and Fay Taranto of Albany, Ga., and Shirley Hughes and the late Lavon Hughes of Albany, Ga. 

The future bride  is a  graduate  of Lee County High School, Leesburg, Ga. and  graduate of Darton State College with a  Respiratory  Therapy degree. She is employed by Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. 

The future groom is the grandson of  June Johnson and the late Jefferson Johnson of Albany, Ga., Wayne Macey and the late Mary Macey of Albany, Ga. 

The groom-elect is a graduate of Lee County High School, Leesburg, Ga., and graduate from Georgia South Western, Americus, Ga. with a Physical Education degree. He is employed by the United States Marine Corps.
