Elizabeth Rigsby Butler of Valdosta announces the engagement of her daughter, Heather Elizabeth Butler, to Jared Everett Petry, both of Nashville, Tenn., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Petry of Indianapolis, Ind., and the late Mrs. Nancy Pearre of Nashville, Tenn. Ms. Butler is also the daughter of the late Police Commander Bill Butler.

The wedding is set for May 29, 2016, at The Listening Room in Nashville, Tenn.

The future bride is a graduate of Valdosta High School and Core Institute in Tallahassee, Fla. She is a licensed massage therapist.

Her grandparents are Ruth Rigsby of Camilla, Ga., and the late Randy Rigsby. 

The future groom is a graduate of Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, Miss., and Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn.

His grandparents are the late Ralph and Ruby Fox of Nashville, Tenn., and Ralph and Lorene Petry of Piqua, Ohio. He is co-owner of Challenge Entertainment.
