Wiley Harmon Hinson

Mr. Wiley Harmon Hinson, 88, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness.Mr. Hinson was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Clinch County to the late Lawrence Hinson and Wilma Smith Hinson.
He was the owner of Hinson Tree Planters, a farmer and was a member of the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served on the Board of Education and the Slash Pine Board of Directors. He was preceded in death by one son-in-law: Donald Tison.
Survivors are his wife: Marilu Wilson Hinson, Homerville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Pam & Chris McCrae and Luanne & Louis Cassotta, all of Homerville; one son and daughter-in-law: Wiley & Billie Sue Hinson, Homerville; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Carolyn Wilson, Homerville and JoAnn & Charles O’Keefe, Tallahassee, FL; five grandchildren: Don & Lyndsey Tison, Heather & Jason Bell, Mary Catherine & Jarred Hart, Allison Hinson and Harley Hinson; six great grandchildren: William Tison, Julia Tison, Tison Bell, Maggie Bell, Gabbie Hart and Michael Hart; a number of nieces & nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Hinson will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at two o’clock in the Homerville Congregational Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 24, 2016, one hour before the services at the church.
