Lowndes High School Air Force Junior ROTC presented colors. Ben Copeland, 2016-17 Moody Air Force Base honorary commander, attended. Lt. Col. M. Aaron Redfern was the guest speaker. American Legion Post 13 and American Legion Post 503 presented 'Thank You' coins to veterans. Mayor John Gayle presented a proclamation. Here, American Legion Post 503 Cmdr. Bunnis 'B' Williams presents the purple heart awarded to Cpl. Johnny Simmons, a Holly Hill resident, while Russ Morgan of Post 13 and Gayle thank Simmons.
