JASPER – Sheryl Rehberg, executive director of CareerSource North Florida, honored J. Douglas Whitaker at a Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, July 5. 

She presented him with a plaque in appreciation for his service on the North Florida Workforce Development Board since 1999 as a charter member of the board.

“Thank you on behalf of the board for your service, for your advocacy,” Rehberg said. 

According to Rehberg, Whitaker is the last charter member on the board and he has decided to retire. 

“Thank you, it has been a pleasure to working with the board,” Whitaker said.
