Loaded school bus hit while stopped at railroad

LIVE OAK — A driver hit a loaded school bus from behind around 7 a.m. on Tuesday when the bus stopped at a railroad crossing.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, no one was hurt during the incident.

While traveling south on County Road 417 with 29 students on board, the bus stopped at the railroad crossing just north of US-90 before being hit from behind, the report states.
Melissa Van Meter, 31, driving a 2001 Dodge Ram could not explain to police why she hit the bus, the report states. Two students on the bus had been picked up from Meter.
The bus was undamaged, and police released the bus from the scene to drop the students off at their schools, the report states.
Police charged Meter with careless driving, no insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
