Jewelry, electronics taken in burglaries

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A trio of burglaries reported to law enforcement on Thursday netted thieves property valued at more than $9,500, the bulk of which was made up of jewelry as well as televisions and other electronics.
In the 2200 block of Vinson Road, Meigs, Teresa Kilgore reported the theft of property valued at $7,500. The stolen items included a Sony flat screen television, two laptop computers, jewelry, silver half-dollar coins and Beats speakers.
In a second burglary, Mary Bridges, 300 block Lakeview Acres, reported the theft of two Samsung 40-inch flat screen television sets, according the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.
Bridges reported that value of the stolen property at $1,992.
And in a case that was reported to Moultrie police Tammy Lynn Dunn, 100 block Third Street Northwest, reported Thursday the theft of a 55-inch flat screen television and Blu-ray disc player with a total value of $521.
Dunn told police that the latch to her bedroom door was pushed open to gain entry to that room.
