Bucs fall in overtime to Chiefland
The Chiefland Indians defeated Branford 6-0 in overtime on Friday at Chiefland High School.

Trey Sapp had 15 tackles for the Buccaneers (2-2). Tyler Sapp had 10 tackles. Hunter Hill recorded the only sack of the game.

Defense — Trey Sapp
Sapp had seven solo tackles and eight assisted tackles.
Offense — Punter Seth Dean
Dean averaged 30.6 yards per punt on six punts.

The Buccaneers play their homecoming game on Friday against Bronson (0-3).
“Against Bronson, we will need to be able to control the ball on offense and play as aggressive on defense as we did last week,” BHS head coach Roy Harden said.
Geiger takes first in bowling tournament
Lorrie Geiger won first place at the Leesburg 500 Club 8-Pin No Tap Invitational Tournament held at The Villages on Aug. 28.
Geiger defeated a field of 114 women bowlers with a score of 807.
Pregnancy center walk/run set for Saturday
The Pregnancy Care Center of Live Oak is hosting a 5k run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 24 at First Federal Sportsplex.

SHS cross country teams compete in Lake City
Three Suwannee runners finished in the top 10 in the boys race at the Alligator Lake Invitational on Saturday.
Tim Choe finished second in a field of 117 runners with a time of 17:32. Micah Hilliard placed seventh and Ricardo Cruz finished 10th.
Alexis Thompson was the top finisher for Suwannee in the girls race with a time of 23:17. She placed 16th out of 97 competitors.

The SHS boys golf team travels to Madison on Thursday for a match at 3:30 p.m.
The Branford Buccaneers football team hosts Bronson on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Suwannee cross country travels to Gainesville on Saturday for an 8 a.m. meet.
