Softball tournament will raise money for Branford cancer patient

MAYO — A Co-Ed softball tournament will be held at the Edward Perry Sports Complex in Mayo on Nov. 5 to raise funds for Megan Zipperer.
Zipperer, 25, has terminal stage 4 cervical cancer.
Teams will consist of seven men and three women. Cost is $150 per team.
A home run derby is scheduled for around 12:30 p.m.
There will be raffle prizes as well as a 50-50 drawing. Food will be sold the entire day. The tournament begins at 9 a.m.
