North Florida baseball team dresses up for Halloween Havoc

LIVE OAK, Fla. — A Minion tagged Steve Urkel with a gorilla backing up second base. Captain America blasted a long home run in the first inning.  

Those were just a few of the scenes from the inaugural “Halloween Havoc” game at Booster Field on Friday.

Around 150 people attended the fundraising event that saw Suwannee High baseball players take the field in halloween costumes. 

Over $3,000 was raised for the Bulldogs’ baseball program in a fun-filled night of competition between superheroes, villains, nerds and more. 

Coach Matt Campbell’s team was the victor, defeating coach Billy Moran’s team, 7-4.

Evan Johnson, dressed as Captain America, hit a 3-run home run.
