LIVE OAK — A Lake City man has been charged with second degree murder, according to a Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office report.

Jason Edward Frame, 39, contacted the sheriff’s office to report a suicide on Nov. 22, according to the report.

The victim was found with a 40 lb. dumbbell weight on top of her, the report states.

Further investigation found blunt force trauma to the victim’s head, according to the report.

Frame then admitted to striking the victim with the weight, the report states.

Frame stated that it was in self-defense and that he and victim had been fighting, according to the report.

The victim was found with multiple lacerations and bruises, according to the report.

The name of the victim has not been released.
