LIVE OAK — The Live Oak Police Department arrested Anthony Bonfiglio of Port Richie, Florida, and Jeremiah Freeburg of Hudson, Florida, on Dec. 7 for two counts of grand theft for more than $20,000 but less than $60,000.
According to an LOPD report, while driving in the area of Gordon Tractor on US Highway 129, an LOPD detective noticed a semi truck with a car carrier trailer parked on the shoulder of the road.
Two men were operating the truck with the attached car hauler. When the detective made contact with the men, he noticed two tractors loaded into the belly of the trailer, the report states.
The detective then consulted the owner of Gordon Tractor, who said the men were in the process of stealing the farm equipment.
Both men were arrested and taken to Suwannee County Jail to face charges of grand theft of more than $20,000, according to the report.
