McCloud is being held on several criminal charges, including trespassing and attempted theft.
Photos and surveillance video of a man trying to break into a truck and car at a residence on Pigeon Oaks Drive spread across social media earlier this week. The video, taped Christmas night, shows the man pulling on the vehicles’ locked doors before leaving the property.
The LCSO asked residents to help identify the man, who was driving an unmarked white van.
LCSO Capt. Stryde Jones said a resident called 911 after seeing a white van driving around a neighborhood in the north end of the county, which led to McCloud’s Tuesday arrest.
The LCSO is looking for possible connections to other vehicle break-ins on Christmas.
