VALDOSTA — Friends and family lighted candles and shared stories in remembrance of Edrick “Phat” Parson Wednesday night at Scott Park.
Parson’s mother, Tammy Parson, said she “last heard my son’s voice” on a Facebook live video when he was on his way to Atlanta Christmas Eve.
Edrick Parson was shot and later died after several men attempted to steal his car, she said.
Tammy Parson said she is accepting donations to help with Edrick’s funeral arrangements.
She said people who want to help out can send a check or money order to Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home in Quitman.
Edrick Parson was 25 years old and a Quitman-native.
