Mayo man arrested in drug bust

Joshua Gordan Gaines of Perry was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.

PERRY —Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett announces drug bust with three arrests including a Mayo resident.

According to the press release, deputies, assisted by the Perry Police Department, executed a search warrant on Jan. 20 at 1860 Ellison Gamble Rd, Lot 10. The search warrant yielded evidence of methamphetamine possession and sales.

According to the release, three people were arrested. Robert Rhodes III of Mayo, was charged with possession of controlled substance. Kimberly Norman Cruse of Perry was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Joshua Gordan Gaines of Perry was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.

Sheriff Padgett is committed to seeking out those who manufacture and distribute these illegal drugs in Taylor County. He urges citizens if they see something, say something.
