VALDOSTA – In observance of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’s birthday, Valdosta State University recently invited children of all ages to stop by its wacky, Seussational, Seussical Honors House and have a little fun.
Faculty members read their favorite Dr. Seuss stories outside on the lawn, and everyone had a chance to visit one or more of five themed rooms — “ABC: An Amazing Alphabet Book,” Hop on Pop,” The Cat in the Hat,” “Horton Hears a Who,” The Lorax,” and “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” — complete with fun games, themed snacks, and that sweet, fluffy confection known as cotton candy, according to a press release.
