Hamilton County School District honors teachers, school related employees of the year

JASPER — The Hamilton County School District hosted a Teachers and School Related Employees of the Year award ceremony on March 23 at the Hamilton County High School.
The 2018 District Teacher of the Year is Christopher Combass.

“I am so proud to recognize Chris as our Teacher of the Year,” Superintendent Rex Mitchell said.
The Teachers of the Year are Brenda Lambert (Central Hamilton Elementary), Michelana Byrd (North Hamilton Elementary), Chelsea Smith (South Hamilton Elementary) and Christopher Combass (Hamilton County High School).
The 2017 District School Related Employee of the Year is Deborah Horne.
“She is one great representative of the employees we have in the district,” Mitchell said.
The School Related Employees of the Year are Betty Jones (Central Hamilton Elementary), Deborah Horne (North Hamilton Elementary), Shirley Aldridge (South Hamilton Elementary), Ashley Cribbs (Hamilton County High School), Brandy Morgan (District Offices) and Penny Hawkins (General Services).
