VALDOSTA — Residents will be able to compete in a photo scavenger hunt April 24-28 during Georgia Cities Week using the city’s Click ’N Fix mobile app.

Normally, the app is used to report non-emergency issues such as potholes and broken traffic lights, but for the Valdosta Click-a-Pic scavenger hunt, people will use the app to upload pictures from around Valdosta.

Each day during the hunt, which is sponsored by the City of Valdosta and The Valdosta Daily Times, a clue will appear on the city’s website and social media pages telling people where to go to take the daily pic.

Daily drawings will choose winners from the photos submitted, and the winners will receive prizes from local businesses.

All winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the Valdosta Click ‘n Fix Lunch & Learn on Friday, April 28, where people will get a chance to learn about the app during a free lunch.

The workshop will take place from 12-1 p.m. in the Valdosta City Hall Annex multi-purpose room. Reservations are requested. To make one, call (229) 259-3548.

Here are the instructions to follow when using the app to upload photos during the hunt:

Select the Report tab.

Choose the theme for the day from the drop-down menu.

Within the “Description” field box, enter the reason why the location is your favorite (optional).

Take a photo to attach, or attach an image from your photo gallery.

The Valdosta Click ’N Fix app is available on the Apple and Android app stores, and a desktop version can be found at www.valdostacity.com/report-a-concern.

The app can be used to report a wide variety of issues: potholes, sidewalk damage, drainage and flooding issues, street or traffic lights, hazard trees or limbs down, broken street or traffic signs, litter, etc.
