EDITORIAL: PSST! 2017 in full summer repertory rotation
Published 9:00 am Tuesday, June 27, 2017
With the opening of “My Fair Lady” last weekend, Peach State Summer Theatre is in full swing.
All three of the 2017 season shows are playing.
Audiences can catch three musicals, “Shrek,” “Forever Plaid” and “My Fair Lady” running in rotating repertory.
Catch one or catch them all.
Through mid-July, audiences can choose a show five days per week. On most Wednesdays and Saturdays, audiences can even choose one show in the afternoon and a different show the same evening.
PSST! is a fine opportunity to see professional musical theatre here in Valdosta.
Peach State is Georgia’s official musical theatre.
The PSST! troupe is a combination of actors selected during theatre auditions conducted throughout the Southeastern United States, Valdosta State University Theatre & Dance faculty and students, and former VSU, PSST! and Jekyll Island performers.
Combining the 15 years on Jekyll with the 13 PSST! seasons in Valdosta, VSU has served as the umbrella organization for nearly 30 years of professional summer musicals.
Peach State tickets are reportedly going fast, and if you haven’t already made reservations, you may wish to make your commitment to Peach State Summer Theatre today.
