VALDOSTA — The end of the summer reading program at South Georgia Regional Library was all fun and games Saturday.
Since the start of the program in mid-May, about 2,500 kids throughout the SGRL system logged more than 50,000 books read, said Jeanna Allums, community librarian.
“That’s pretty good, I think” Allums said.
The system includes two libraries in Valdosta as well as libraries in Hahira, Lakeland, Lake Park and Statenville.
Participants were entered into a raffle drawing and children participated in face painting, construction toys, interactive story activities, food and more.
South Georgia Regional Library in Valdosta is located at 300 Woodrow Wilson Drive and can be reached by phone (229) 333-0086.
