THOMASVILLE — On the first day of school last Friday, two Thomasville High School students reported stolen personal items, and one of the victims said he was slumbering when the theft occurred.
A student told a school resource officer her cell phone was stolen from her book bag.

The student said she last saw the phone about 10 a.m., but is not sure when it was taken, according to a Thomasville Police Department incident report.
She realized it was missing about 1 p.m. The Apple iPhone 5 — in a pink-and-gray case — is valued at $300.
Because the phone is not on and does not have a cellular provider, it will be difficult to track, according to the report.
School video will be viewed in an effort to determine what happened to the phone.
Also on Friday at THS, a male student told the school resource officer someone took his wallet from his book bag during sixth period.
The student told the office he does not know who took wallet, because he was asleep at the time of the theft.
