Braxton Hill hit a double, a home run and tallied four RBIs while going 3 for 4 at the plate to boost the unbeaten Valwood softball team past Westwood 16-4 on Thursday.

Bri Fosdick had three hits, including a double, to help the Valiants improve to 3-0. Emily Taylor, Ansley Bennett Brittany Hasty and Blake Barnes added two hits apiece in the non-region victory.

Darcee Brown pitched three innings, surrendering two runs while striking out three. 

Bennett allowed two runs and struck out five in three innings. Fosdick pitched a scoreless seventh to end the game.

Valwood begins region play against Southland at Hollis Field on Tuesday at 4 p.m. A B-team game follows the varsity game.
