VALDOSTA —Due to widespread power outages, some schools will remain closed. 

Valdosta City Schools will be closed for the entirety of the week and will open Monday, Sept. 18. 

Echols County Schools, Georgia Christian School will be closed Thursday, Sept. 14.

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will close for students until Monday, and faculty and staff will return Thursday.
