VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Goodwill Career Center will host a job fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 1000 N. Saint Augustine Road. The event is open to the public, according to organizers.

The organization’s career center offers job fairs for the unemployed, underemployed or people looking for a career change in the community. 

Regal Marine Industries, Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Wild Adventures, SMX Staffing Management, Smith Drug Company and New Hire Solutions are expected to attend, seeking to fill more than 100 positions, according to Goodwill.

Job seekers are strongly encouraged to be in business attire and have several resume copies on hand, according to an organizational press release.

Goodwill’s mission is to help individuals with disabilities or disadvantages in the Valdosta and Lowndes County community to secure sustainable employment through education, training, work experience and career-placement services.

All of the programs and services offered by the Career Center are completely free to both the employer and the job seeker; they are made possible through the community donations of gently used clothing and household goods that are sold at the Goodwill Retail Stores, according to the press release.
