Over the summer, Georgia Christian students Dalton Rizer, Rylee White and Darren Long, both attended a Georgia Combine in middle Georgia, where scouts from Team MaxBat were in attendance.

After impressing scouts, the three were selected to play at the national level from September through January.

Unfortunately, Long, a junior at Georgia Christian, sustained a knee injury and was not able to enlist in the program.

Rizer, a senior, and junior White will travel to California, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Texas and Arizona to compete throughout its campaign.

An opportunity with Team MaxBat affords the players the chance to represent Georgia Christian School on the national level, as well as showcasing their skills in front of college coaches from various levels of colleges, from NAIA and Junior colleges to 4A schools.

Rizer and White players have played at various positions during their games with Team MaxBat, strengthening their baseball knowledge for more than just their primary positions with Georgia Christian.

Both have played with local travel baseball teams for years, this being the first opportunity to compete on a national level.

They’re still looking for sponsors to help with the travel and hotel expenses.
