VALDOSTA — Autumn is officially here and Halloween is right around the corner; what better way to celebrate than with new fall flavors?
Wild Adventures Theme Park has just unveiled “Fall into Food” — an array of seasonal foods that put a unique twist on fall favorites.
“In the South, we don’t always experience a dramatic shift when the seasons change,” said Adam Floyd, public relations manager.
Five fall-tastic flavors have been introduced by the Wild Adventures team: chili sourdough bread bowls, frozen apple cider, pumpkin spice pie Dippin’ Dots with pie crust pieces, caramel apple sundaes and the fall classic pumpkin pie.
“Our new Fall into Food menu items are here to help guests get into the fall spirit with fun twists on seasonal favorites,” Floyd said.
Fall Into Food items are around for a limited time, he said, and are available now during Terror in the Wild and Kid-O-Ween through Oct. 29.
“We have the Kid-O-Ween Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the month and it is geared toward families. Terror in the Wild every Friday and Saturday night gets started around 8 p.m.,” Floyd said.
“So far all the dishes are pretty well received,” he said.
Wild Adventures representatives said Lonestar BBQ, Dippin’ Dots, Cup Central and Mayfield Marketplace will carry the fall favorites in the park.
“This is just another way to celebrate fall with some traditional foods served in untraditional ways, except for the pumpkin pie which is a classic,” Floyd said.
He said the unveiling adds one more thing to what the park is doing in October.
“We are looking to do more food-themed special menus and we’re always thinking of new ideas” said Justin Sheehan, food and purchasing manager.
Season passes are on sale now through Halloween and include Terror in the Wild and Kid-O-Ween.
