JASPER — A Tampa woman was arrested Friday for kidnapping of four children.
According to the HCSO report, on Friday night at 11:24 p.m. a vehicle was stopped in the far left lane with hazard lights on. When the deputy arrived, officers from the Department of Agriculture were pushing the vehicle off the road and a child and its sibling said they had been kidnapped from Pasco County, according to the report.
According to the report, one of the legal guardians stated that Nicole Angel Colon, 30, had kidnapped the guardian’s grandchildren and that the suspect did not have permission to leave Pasco County.
When asked where she was taking the children the suspect said she was taking them from their grandmother and running away with them, according to the report.
The suspect stated two of those children were hers and that she had custody of them, according to the report.
The report states the deputy contacted the father and he stated that the suspect is the mother and that she has visitation rights, but is not allowed to leave the residence with the child.
All four children were returned home on Saturday, according to the report.
Colon was charged with kidnapping of a minor, kidnap-false imprisonment and child neglect without great bodily harm.
