LIVE OAK — For anyone wanting to learn how to knit or crochet, now is the time.
Debra Barney, an experienced knitter and crocheter, will be at the Live Oak Library once a month to teach the beginner or instruct the more experienced in these two skills.
Knitting will be taught on the second Wednesday of each month starting Jan. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Those attending will learn to purl, knit, cast on and bind off. Attendees should bring knitting needles and yarn to the class.
Crocheting will be taught on the third Wednesday of each month starting Jan. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Barney will teach how to chain and to do simple stitches. Again, attendees should bring crochet hooks and yarn to the class.
