McALPIN — A McAlpin man was killed in an ATV accident Monday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 69-year-old Ernest L. Riffe was driving his Polaris Ranger around 2 p.m. Monday in a horse pasture working horses in southeastern Suwannee County, near 182nd Street and County Road 349.

The FHP report states that Riffe was ejected from the ATV when it overturned while attempting to make a sharp turn.

He suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash, according to FHP.
