HAHIRA — Hahira Elementary School will hold a fundraiser to encourage positive student behavior.
The event is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at the Hahira Huddle House.
Jennifer Lukens, a teacher at Hahira Elementary, spoke of the purpose of the fundraiser.
She said the money will fund Positive Behavior Supports, which is a program that provides the students with B Bucks when they demonstrate positive behavior. She explained that B Bucks can be used to buy special items at the B Buck stores.
For the fundraiser, 20 percent of profits will go to the school. Lukens said there is no set goal amount but the school hopes to raise at least $150.
Hahira has a Chick-Fil-A fundraiser three times a year when parents have to say they are there for the Hahira fundraisers, she said.
However, for the Huddle House fundraiser, Lukens said people don’t have to say anything and proceeds go toward the school even if customers forget to mention they are there for the Hahira Elementary fundraiser.
Lukens said Huddle House is holding a raffle for a year of free Huddle House and all proceeds will go back to the school.
The Hahira Huddle House is located at 803 GA Highway 122 W.
