First Jam Audition set for Friday

Hallie Davis, of Jasper, will compete Friday in the Suwannee River Jam Audition at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Davis competed in the park's talent competition finals last year.

LIVE OAK — The first Suwannee River Jam Audition for 2018 is set for Friday at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

Saturday night will feature Southern Burn Band on the Music Hall stage. Both events are don’t miss shows.

Twelve very talented artists from all across North Florida and South Georgia have signed up to be in this first audition. Four winners will be chosen at the end of the audition and will move to the finals April 13 in the Music Hall.

Those auditioning Friday include Live Oak’s Brittany Powell and Jasper’s Hallie Davis as well as Scott Behrenwald (Lake City), Jimmie Coleman (Jacksonville), Brandy Creasy (Hahira, Ga.), Bryan James (Oviedo), Joe Martino (Lake City), Allie Rohrer (Jacksonville), Jessica Stewart (Jacksonville), Brett Conyer Walker (Sarasota), Clayton Yarbrough (Macclenny) and the duo of Karley Scott Collins and Alex Sandlin (Lake City).

Auditions begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

On Saturday, Southern Burn will take the stage from 8 p.m. until midnight. The high-energy, extremely fun Southern rock and country cover band covers country and rock songs from current chart toppers to classic hits. The band is a versatile crossover band, mixing in a few of your favorites from other genres as requested.

Doors to the Music Hall open at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday for dinner.
