VALDOSTA — Fowler, Holley, Rambo & Stalvey, P.C. and Fowler & Company announced this week the two companies will merge.
FHR&S is a certified public accountant and business consultant firm.
Fowler & Company specializes in consultation services and offers chief financial officer services.
The merger will allow Fowler & Company to utilize the resources of FHR&S, said Curt Fowler, president and CEO of Fowler & Company.
For FHR&S, Fowler & Company will add its services to the company.
Services include strategic planning, strategy execution work, customer engagement, employee engagement and virtual part-time CFO services.
Fowler & Company will continue to operate under its name in FHR&S for the time being, he said.
The merger will allow Fowler to spend more time focusing on customers and less time worrying about the backend of his work because of the resources FHR&S can provide, he said.
While FHR&S currently offers consultation services, Fowler specializes in consultation, and plans to enhance those services at the firm.
“The whole idea of doing this is we should be able to have a greater impact with the business leaders and non-profits that we serve in this community, because we have incredibly talented people here that I can now team up with,” he said. “And I’m bringing a different set of experiences, although I have the traditional base training that most of the folks here have, but I have a very different set of experience and educational background as well.”
Prior to the merger, Fowler & Company worked with other businesses that offer certified public accounting services, he said. Fowler has no intention of changing how he works with CPA firms outside of FHR&S.
“I’ll work with your CPAs,” Fowler said. “I’m not going to poach their business. That’s not a problem at all. I’m here to help you grow. … I’m going to work with (clients’) traditional CPAs in the exact same capacity I always have.”
Fowler writes a weekly column that publishes each Sunday in the Business section of The Valdosta Daily Times.
