Jay Short, from Short and Paulk, said the showcase allowed attendees access to a wide array of home building and improvement products.

“They can talk directly to the manufacturer or a representative about the product and ask questions,” he said.

In addition to the booths, the showcase had AIA continuing education classes for builders and contractors, which were open to the public as well.

Many of the booths held live demonstrations as well, allowing attendees to see how products worked first hand.

Short added that there were approximately 50 booths with more than 100 vendors at the showcase.

“We didn’t expect it to be this big,” he said, adding that they hope to continue having this event in the future.
