THOMASVILLE — A suspect pursuit Tuesday afternoon led to an arrest, and more charges against others are possible, according to law enforcement.

Kendarius Deandre Daniels, 17, of Thomasville, was arrested after an undercover narcotics agent arranged to buy one-half ounce of methamphetamine, according to Louis Schofill, Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division commander.

“The deal went down at a business on Smith Avenue,” Schofill added.

Following the undercover buy, agents made contact and attempted to apprehend the suspect on Dawson Street. The suspect fled.

“Agents were able to keep him in sight and set up a quick parameter,” Schofill said.

Drug agents pursued the suspect, with the assistance of Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Thomasville Police Department.

A deputy eventually located the suspect under a house.

Daniels was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.

“The case is under further investigation and more charges are forthcoming with other individuals involved in the sale,” Schofill said.
