Denton named consumer services director

VALDOSTA — Professional Case Management Services of America, Inc., which covers five regions including Tucker, Savannah and Valdosta, has named Sharah N. Denton its new consumer services director.

Denton supports the needs and direction of the company and CEO Toni Brandon who has been in business for more than 10 years, according to company officials. 

Established in 2007, PCSA provides support coordination services throughout Georgia. The agency insures that individuals with developmental disabilities in Georgia receive services allowing “them to have the lifestyle they desire on their own terms while not being forced into a life chosen by others for them,” according to a company press release.

The company has worked for many years to provide adequate and supportive services for individuals with disabilities. 

Denton, who has more than 10 years of public relations and marketing experience and more than 15 years of customer-service experience. She formerly worked as the parent and communications specialist for Brooks County Schools and as the development director for Lowndes Associated Ministries to People, Inc., in Valdosta prior to being hired at PCSA.

Denton holds a master’s of science degree in human services and nonprofit management and leadership. Currently stationed in Valdosta, Denton will provide support and leadership in both the Tucker and Savannah offices.

Denton served for six years as the founding president of the Valdosta-Lowndes Metropolitan Section of the National Council of Negro Women and currently serves as the state president of Georgia NCNW and NCNW National third vice chair of collegiates and young adults. 

A native of California, Denton has lived in Valdosta for more than 11 years and has been named the 2012 Valdosta Woman of the Year, 2013 Georgia Trend Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Recipient, 2013 Valdosta MetroOne 4 Under 40, 2012 Leadership Lowndes graduate and a Fall 2017 Young Game Changer for Georgia Forward.

Denton said she hopes to bring her leadership and talents to PCSA by continuing the mission and vision of the company, provide positive consumer and vendor relationships as well as continue building positive relationships with organizations and businesses who serve like consumers.

Darling completes lending school

VALDOSTA — Glenn L. Copeland, chief executive officer of Citizens Community Bank, has announced that Amanda Darling, consumer lender, recently graduated from the Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s Consumer Lending School, which is part of the Community Bankers University.

Darling has been employed by Citizens Community Bank for 13 years and works at the North Valdosta office, according to bank officials. She is a 1993 graduate of Lowndes High School.

Citizens Community Bank is wholly owned by CCB Bancshares, Inc. The bank owns Remerton Agency, Inc. doing business as Star Insurance Agency.
