HAHIRA

DownHome Pizza, 601 W. Main St., has officially moved from its previous location at 103 S. Webb St. The restaurant has expanded its menu and offers a full salad bar. • The Taste, 2905 N. Ashley St., opened Feb. 28. It is a Southern cooking restaurant. It is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (229) 244-2098.

• Danny’s Music, 1601 Baytree Road, Suite B2, opened Feb. 21. It is a music store. It is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call (229) 474-4350.

• The Old Time Butcher Shoppe, 1581 Baytree Road, opened Feb. 23. It is a traditional butcher shop. It is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, call (229) 293-1398.

•The Urology Institute and Continence Center, 2601 Bemiss Road, Suite N, opened Feb. 1. The doctor handles voiding issues for both men and women, kidney stones and bladder issues. For men, he handles prostate issues and erectile disfunction. For more information, call (229) 474-4383.

• Eunice Automotive Repair, 2620 Bemiss Road, recently changed its name from C&C Automotive and Performance. The company does tune-ups, bed liners for trucks and performance improvements for vehicles. For more information, call (229) 474-8565.

• The American Dream: A Real-Estate Company, 1306 Baytree Road, opened Feb. 19. It is a real-estate brokerage with an emphasis on sales. It will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (229) 262-1300. 

• Island Wingz & Tingz, 428 E. Park Ave., opened Feb. 16. It is a wing restaurant that offers Jamaican cuisine including jerk chicken, curry chicken, oxtails and curry goat. Wing flavors are Caribbean and traditional. It will also serve Philly steak, shrimp po boy, salads, conch fritters, plantains and smoothies. • McDonald’s, 4109 Bemiss Road, is under construction. The restaurant’s drive-through is still operating.

• La Quinta Inn and Suites, 1800 Clubhouse Drive, has started reconstruction. Renovations are expected to be complete by May 1.

• The site of 3886 Bemiss Road has what appears to be a four-lot building being constructed next to Red Owl. There is a sign stating the building will be the new home of Endless Summer Tanning Salon.

• Liquor Loft, 2541 Bemiss Road, is where the old Rutland’s Music building was located. The building is being remodeled and the sign for the business was recently put up.
