Two Valdosta Winn-Dixie stores to close

VALDOSTA — Two Valdosta Winn-Dixie stores will close during the course of the next three months.

Other South Georgia stores are also scheduled to close.

The Valdosta stores scheduled for closure are located at 4036 Bemiss Road and 1105 Madison Highway, according to the list released Thursday.

The grocery store’s parent company, Southeastern Grocers, has entered into a pre-packaged, court-supervised restructuring, according to Southeastern Grocers website.

The restructure will close 94 “underperforming” stores in the next 90 days, the website reads.

Other Winn-Dixie, Bi-Lo Harvey’s stores being closed in Georgia include:
